Around The Office: Tunes Of The Week

In an effort to come up with creative ways to share our favourite music, we went around the office and asked some of the team to share their favourite tune of this week. The tune could be old or new, overrated or a hidden gem - just one that has been on repeat or an ear worm that has just been discovered.

Ant (Label Manager / Artist Manager)

King Krule - Alone, Omen 3

As Onelove’s resident tastemaker and longtime lover of music, it’s no wonder Ant’s tune of the week is equal parts suave and engaging. Unlike the jazzy minimalism of King Krule’s last album, this single takes a straightforward approach. The music opts for a lo-fi beat and a few wiggling guitar lines that drift in like background ambiance, creating a sophisticated, easy listening track that is the perfect office vibe.

Tyson a.k.a. Generik (Artist / Sub-Label Manager):

Tame Impala - Glimmer

Tyson (or more commonly known, Generik) has been playing in and out of clubs, chasing summer and supporting Calvin Harris in Las Vegas non-stop for over 2 years now. His tune of the week choice from Tame Impala is the perfect track for relaxing - something Tyson has had a bit more time to do now that he is back in Australia. Dreamy and alluring while still maintaining an uplifting and energetic beat, Glimmer has all of the elements of Generik’s personality. Definitely a great choice!
