ARTIST FEATURE - Choomba.

Just a short year and a half since their inception, Choomba has ticked off a lot of goals that can take most artists years to conquer, and are showing no signs of slowing down as they power through the beginning of 2020. The cousin duo, who started the project to harness their individual creativity and expertise, have sent the dance world in Australia and internationally into a whirlwind with their progressive, bass-infused house music.

To begin their project, the pair released the Choombdooskins EP, an introduction and foreshadowing of the music to come. The debut EP consisted of 4 songs, displaying strong production and polished song structure that only comes with years of experience and incredible talent, produced with an experimental flair that looks set to navigate the entire project and future catalogue. The debut offering has collected over 800k streams on Spotify and is continuing to grow with a massive listenership and growing industry support.

Since their EP release, Choomba have executed on an additional two singles - Wantchu and La Luh - club-ready cuts with driving bass lines that will give the Co2 cannons and confetti guns a work out at any venue worldwide. 

Industry and dance - music audiences alike are sitting up and beginning to take notice of the duo, allowing the project to soar with excellent opportunities that will expand their existing fanbase. The newest single La Luh, released on 20th January 2020 has been added to rotation on Australia’s biggest independent station, Triple J. Garnering reviews and praise from it’s leading tastemakers including Richard Kingsmill, Nick Findlay, The Aston Shuffle and Declan Byrne. In their short career, they’ve also been a feature artist across Triple J Unearthed, have performed a mix on the illustrious Friday Mix-Up and played across Australia / New Zealand at shows including: We Mouve, The Grass Is Greener, Spilt Milk and Marco Polo.
