At a time in Australia where bush-doofs and three day raves reigned supreme, hosting a first year mega-festival filled to the brim with EDM, house and hip-hop artists on the line-up was as bold as it was unusual. Festival X not only shattered expectations of attendance, crowd engagement and genre popularity, it proved that they were what was missing in Australia’s festival season.

The 2019 debutant hosted a range of artists and DJ’s across different genres and managed to appeal to a large audience and tapped into a fan base that was not previously being catered for. The stage diversity showcased local talent including Onelove’s own JDG, JAMO and SophieGrophy- as well as international heavyweights - Calvin Harris, Armin Van Buuren and Lil Pump.

This time last year in conjunction with Live Nation and Hardware Presents, we were neck deep in preparations for the 4 events including Festival X Rising in New Zealand. Crossing all of our tees, dotting all our I’s and it is a massive shame for us that we cannot present the sophomore version of the festival in 2020. With that being said, we can’t wait to show you what we have been working on for Festival X’s return in late 2021.

Quote from Onelove Music Group director / part - owner of Festival X Frank Cotela:

“We’re thrilled to see 100,000 live music fans come together for the first annual edition of Festival X. Audiences in all states treated each other with respect and unity, looking after each other and sharing the love of live music, so we can’t thank attendees enough for joining us on this amazing journey! We’re excited to kick of Summer next year once more with a Festival X tour that will be bigger and better than ever!”
