Sunset Bros: Go To's- Festival Outfits & Drinks for Touring DJ's

Very few producers can achieve career longevity. Then again very few producers make an impact as lasting as the Sunset Bros. With their crisp production, infectious melodies and a penchant for tasteful selection, it’s no surprise that the Sunset Bros have carved a reputation as a pioneering act in their field. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, the duo have filled dance floors across the world with their distinct sound which is comprised as fusion of NRG, house, techno, and trance.
Over the course of their 15-year career, the Sunset Bros have released a slew of originals and remixes for acts such as the Black Eyed Peas, Fedde Le Grand, Vengaboys, Bob Sinclair and Cascada.

Prior to their return to Australia at Festival X we thought we would sit down and talk about life, and all things Sunset Bro’s.

1. Firstly congratulations on your most recent Europe tour. It must be a great feeling for 2 Sydney kids to be travelling the world doing what you love. What was your favourite show in Europe and why? 
Being able to play any show across oceans is a great feeling. There have been many that are super special such as Creamfields UK and the Clubland festivals but our sold out headline show at Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos definitely takes top spot. 

2. You describe your music as a blend between Electronic / Progressive / Dance / NRG & Trance so we would be expecting nothing but energy from one of your performances. How much of your set is comprised of your own music?
Indeed! We like to keep our shows unique so a good 85% of our set is entirely our own production. The great thing about it is that it’s always fresh (like your local butcher) lol! In saying that there’s nothing better than dropping an old school anthem to a crowd of the likes of Festival X, so get ready for a few.

3. Now the hard questions what are your go to festival outfits? Sunglasses are a must obviously, but are you guys more a singlet and shorts vibe or something more elaborate? 
Good question lol, when we are in party mode shorts and minimal clothing is always a vibe. When is comes to Sunset Bros however, black ripped jeans, black top and a black hat. The blacker the better lol, ohh and sunglasses… always sunglasses!  

4. Following that what is your go to drink on a night out / Festival day?
We always kick it off with the double vodka red bull for a quick pick me up followed by the “low calorie” vodka lime sodas and the VERY occasional don Julio or café patron shots lol!

5. We can’t wait for your set at Festival X, what other shows have you got lined up around that time? 
There is an Asian tour in the works for later this year but we are exclusive to Festival X so that’s the only place you’d be able to catch in Aus for a little while. That means you wouldn’t want to miss this! ☺
